$65,000 Scholarships/Grants at Los Angeles – 2017/18. Application is ongoing for 2017 edition of the $65,000 annual scholarship/grant by the Getty Scholars foundation for established scholars, or writers who have attained distinction in their fields.
The Getty Scholar grants aim to financially assist, promote and sponsor senior-level professionals, fellows, scholars and writers who have done exceedingly well in their fields.

The 2017 application for this research grant for scholars is ongoing and is expected to wind up by October 2nd, 2017. Interested persons are by this announcement expected to submit their application as stipulated.
Value Of Scholarship: A stipend of up to $65,000 per year will be awarded based on length of stay, need, and salary. The grant also includes an office at the Getty Research Institute or the Getty Villa, research assistance, an apartment in the Getty scholar housing complex, airfare to and from Los Angeles, and makes healthcare options available.
Requirements for Selection:
Getty Scholar Grants are awarded on a competitive basis. Applications are evaluated based on the following:
- The overall quality of the application;
- how the proposed project bears upon the annual research theme;
- the applicant’s past achievements; and
- how the project would benefit from the resources at the Getty, including its library and collections.
